Thin-flap LASIK (intended flap thickness of 90- or 120-µm) was performed in a series of 94 eyes, resulting in visual acuity of 20/20 in 98% of eyes with 120-µm flaps and 95% of eyes with 90-µm flaps 6 months postoperatively, with all patients reporting increased quality of life postoperatively. No significant differences were found regarding contrast sensitivity, corrected distance visual acuity, total higher order aberrations, or patient-reported outcomes.
