In a retrospective series of 20 myopic eyes that underwent LASEK/epi-LASEK with the SCHWIND AMARIS platform with topography and aberrometry by the Keraton Scout, the effective optical zone as measured by corneal optical aberrations was approximately 0.25 mm smaller than the planned optical zone from 5.5 to 6.5 mm, and was the same size for 7.0- and 7.5-mm planned zones.
