In a series of 32 patients with the implantation of a small aperture AcuFocus intracorneal inlay in one eye for increased depth of field, at 2 years postoperatively, 95% of patients had J3 or better uncorrected near visual acuity (preop, 30%) and 70% had 20/25 or better intermediate uncorrected visual acuity (preop, 25%) with a statistically significant subjective improvement in near and intermediate tasks reported on a questionnaire. Uncorrected distance visual acuity was 20/20 or better in 75% of cases (preop 100%).
