In a double-masked, randomized, prospective, contralateral study using the WaveLight platform with topography-guided treatment in one eye and wavefront-optimized treatment in the other eye with PRK for myopia in 20 patients, visual acuity and contrast sensitivity outcomes were essentially the same with both techniques.
